Hailing from Troy, New York, and a natural-born songwriter; Rowe didn’t get his big break in the music industry until he was 36 years old. But he’s okay with that, “When you’re young, you have issues,” he says. “Being older, you’re wiser about your next move.”
Even more intriguing than his stoic first impression is the intimacy and rarity of Rowe’s songs; proving jarring or entrancing, depending on your point of view. Either way, they’ve been getting him a lot of attention. He’s a baritone — a rarity outside of country music… deep in register and character. Like the best baritones, Rowe can sound sinister or sexy, sage-like or sweet.
